Dairyland Environmental Biologist Ben Campbell was interviewed by the La Crosse Tribune as part of Earth Week feature on Peregrine falcon restoration in our region. Click here or see below for the article.

Dairyland was a trailblazer in collaborating to reintroduce the Peregrine to the western Wisconsin region through our partnership with the Raptor Resources Project. In 1997, the first successful Peregrine falcon hatch in a quarter-century occurred at Dairyland's Alma Site nesting box!

Both Dairyland's Peregrine Falcon Bird Cam and Osprey Bird Cam are activated for online birdwatching of the 2024 nesting season. The nesting pair of falcons at our Alma Site are incubating a clutch of four eggs. Hatching is expected in early May. Check back often to watch the nesting season progress in real time.
