14 Solar Projects Now Online

These renewable energy solar projects are an important part of Dairyland's "Preferred Plan" to diversify its energy resources.
Together, the 15 solar facilities, located throughout Dairyland's service area, will be able to produce enough renewable energy to power over 3,000 homes.

All 15 of Dairyland's solar installations will also provide bee and butterfly habitat with pollinator gardens under and around the solar panels. The solar developers are using native seed mixes of grasses and flowering forbs to create certified pollinator gardens. The pollinator gardens also help reduce storm water run-off and increase site protection from erosion.

The power purchase agreements for 14 of the solar projects are with SoCore Energy (Chicago, Ill.). One agreement is with groSolar (White River Junction, Vt.). The developers will install, own, operate and maintain the solar facilities.
